Can stair lifts be installed on any shape of staircase?
Yes. We have a variety of stair lifts that will fit almost any stairs. In our area, we see a variety of staircase configurations ranging from 'straight run' to 'L-shape' to 'sweeping curve'. We can install a stair lift on ANY type of stairs, indoors or out.
Is there a need to have rewiring done in my home?
Probably not. The stair lift’s battery charging power supply simply plugs into the nearest outlet. However, if there is not an outlet convenient to the area, we will install one for you.
What happens if there is a power outage?
Our stair lifts are battery powered and will continue to work during a power outage.
A fully charged battery will complete 15-20 trips.
Can a stair lift be installed if there is a door at the top or bottom of my stairs?
Yes. Our stair lifts can be configured for almost any situation.
Does the rail attach to the wall?
No. The rail is designed to attach to the stair tread with feet periodically spaced.
Keeping the rail on the stairs ensures the utmost stability and the minimum protrusion into the stairway.
What is the lifting capacity of stair lifts?
The lift capacity varies by the type and style of lift. We have models that can handle up to 400lbs.
I have narrow stairs, will a stair lift fit?
Yes. We can fit a lift on stairs that are at least 30” wide. Depending on the stairlift that you select.
What is the expected life span of a stair lift?
Our stair lifts are very durable and reliable and are built the very highest quality components and workmanship. You can be confident that our stair lift will give many years of faithful service, provided the equipment is maintained appropriately. However, should you ever experience a problem with your lift, our service department will be able to get you back up and running in no time.
Can other people still use the staircase?
Yes. All of our stair lifts have foldable armrests, footrest and seat so that it does not obstruct your staircase. We can also look at various configurations to keep your lift out of the way when it is at the bottom or top of the stairs.
How long does it take to install a stair lift? How disruptive is it?
It only takes a few hours to install most stair lifts. During our in-home presentation we will discuss the estimated installation time based on your stair configuration. You should experience minimum disruptions during the installation.
How long do the batteries in a Stair Lift last?
Most batteries will last about 3 years with average lift usage. However there are many factors involved in the life of a battery.
Do your stair lifts offer adjustable seats?
Yes. The ability to change the seat height to suit individual needs can greatly improve the comfort and safety of the ride. Having and adjustable seat height can also help to make sitting down and standing up much easier.

What is a scooter?
A scooter is also known as a power chair or motorized scooter. It is different from a wheel chair in that it has a motor to power it and handle bars or a joystick to steer.
Are there many models to choose from?
There are many models to choose from. We primarily carry the Lite Model, the Deluxe Model, and the Superior Model from SNS Scooters. Ask us for information on other models.
How do I choose the best scooter for me?
The scooter models vary for many different reasons. You will need to choose a model based on your activity level, physical needs, and size.
How do I bring my scooter with me?
The Lite Model folds and can be put into the trunk of most vehicles. For some of the larger scooters we can install a scooter lift on your vehicle.
How far can the scooter go on a single charge?
The distance varies on the model. The Lite Model scooter can travel up to 16 miles. The Deluxe Model scooter can go up to 25 miles. The Superior Model can go up to 35 miles.
What is the capacity of the scooter?
The Lite Model scooter’s weight capacity is 280 lbs. The Deluxe Model scooter has a weight capacity of 352 lbs. The Superior Model has a capacity of 440 lbs.
Are there any options to customize the scooters?
The Lite Model comes in red, blue, or white. The Deluxe Model scooter comes in red, grey, or white. The Superior Model scooter comes in red, blue, or grey.
Are there any safety features on the scooters?
There are several safety features that are on each scooter. Features such as anti-tippers, LED lights, rear view mirrors, and adjustable steering column are just a few. Seat belts are available on the Deluxe and Superior Models.
How can I tell if I have room to install an Elevator, Stairlift, Vertical Platform Lift or dumbwaiter in my house?
We are able to come out and perform an inspection of your home to be able to assess whether or not an Elevator, Stairlift, Vertical Platform Lift or Dumbwaiter is the right option for your house. If you are looking to build a new house, we can work with the builder from the beginning to make sure we have all the features in place to install your equipment.
Is there a need to have rewiring done in my home?
There is no need to rewire your home in most cases. We are able to install an elevator or dumbwaiter that fits with the existing wiring in your home.
What happens if there is a power outage?
Most all elevators are equipped with a manual hand wheel for emergency lowering. Battery operated backups are available on certain models. Phone boxes are also located within the elevator cab for emergency use.
What is the lifting capacity of elevators and dumbwaiters?
The lifting capacity of elevators and dumbwaiter vary on the model you select. We can work with you and help you choose the model that is best for your home.
What is the expected life span of an elevator or dumbwaiter?
We expect you will get many years of service from your equipment with proper use and service. There is also a 3 year limited parts warranty when we use Waupaca Elevators.
Can other people still use the elevator?
Yes, but if security is an issue we have options to fit your needs, such as requiring a key to operate the equipment.
How long does it take to install an elevator or dumbwaiter? How disruptive is it?
Installation time varies bases on the model and your home’s layout. In most cases, less than 2 days. We do our best to minimize disruption.
Do your elevators and dumbwaiters come with different options?
Yes, there are many options to choose from. Options such as drive system, finish, cab style, and safety features are option when choosing a dumbwaiter or elevator.
